Coyote Xander and wolf Julian have been dating for about nine months. Their relationship has been healthy and steady thus far, so when Julian offers the chance to visit his hometown in Utah, Xander readily accepts. The couple soon starts their trip on the desert backroad Route 19. However, they soon find themselves lost on the straight road.
"The Curious Case of Route 19" is a submission for the 2025 May Wolf Game Jam, hosted by WagleUnagi. It has around 23.5k words and is a completed product.

It is sad, main character can't be with his BF even after death. But novel is nice in general.
hi hi! this vn was recommended to me on the echo project discord server, i played it with my girlfriend, and we have a blast!! we were theorizing so much about what could possibly be happening, i got jumpscared at least 5 or 6 times, and overall this was a pretty awesome experience. stay winning!!!

oooooohhhh this was GOOD SHIT. Very satisfying, can be read in two hours, with a good plot and some moments that are genuinely scary. I liked that I was able to figure out the twist in time to get the soonest possible good ending, but honestly... and this is a rare thing indeed... I think, even after choosing literally every 'bad idea' option offered, the worst ending is still really not that bad. A rare, strangely hopeful horror game. Perfect for a Halloween you intend to celebrate but without skipping on sleep
Look I'm color blind and making the background red with red/white text is seriously hurting my eyes and I can't be bothered to even try to read the summary because of the strain. This isn't about the game I know but if the game has this similar color problem I won't be able to even play it.
The story is a bit too on-the-nose for me but, ultimately, it's alright. I think you've got a lot of potential and should keep on writing
Started off decent, but then was totally ruined by the addition of political bullshit. We get it. You hate Trump. That doesn't mean that hatred it needs to be displayed in a damn FVN. HE'S NEVER CALLED FOR THE ELEMINATION OF GAY PEOPLE, EVER. not sure where you're getting your info from? MSNBC I assume. Btw is hosted on a site he saved from the nut job women's group in Australia. So if you want to hate him so openly, finding an alternative hosting site would make sense as if you use this one you're directly benefiting from something Trump did. Or maybe this isn't common knowledge? Either way, be thankful Trump is in office as we all know Biden wouldn't have done shit to save us. He doesn't even know where he is half the time.

This VN is amazing. Full stop. Especially for something that was written for a Game Jam. The writing kept me gripped to the story, anticipating what will happen next. An excellent read.

The second? time he has the void dream where he turns around to the eyes in the darkness genuinely spooked me. I thought it was gonna be a red light or something. First ever FVN jumpscare to really take me off gaurd.
The story was great, very unnerving, but I was eager to know what happens next constantly. Reminded me a lot of Southbound.

And I go to say, I just really love it, The plot, the both of the characters, every, the sex and well horror, was just way to god, I defently recomend this to someone that just want a quick and good VN!

I wanted to say about to this game since it was release and if there will be new and more updates: Will there be more possible multiple ending's from like having Julian to redeem himself for that example? if so, I'll be looking forward for possible updates in the near future.
I know I really should not feel any sympathy for a disgusting serial killer like that wolf, but to be honest, I think he...deserve a better ending, I prefer seeing him being locked in prison for the rest of his life rather than being executed by hanging and being punished by the soul of his victims. Honestly, I'm never really a fan of death penalty, killing someone is not a solution in my perspective, I always believe that everyone can change, even...horrible criminal, but that doesn't mean they don't have to pay for their crime that they do. Nevertheless, in case they don't feel any regretful and guilty about their crime, well, this is the only exception I think it is necessary to execute someone. This is a great visual novel though, such a great reading experience.
I want him in prison so that he can be tortured there with the spirits ngl, or perhaps to add more drama when *spoilers*
When we were at the upper part of the town, the spirit possessed all of the villagers and hunted him down like a zombies lol

i wish another vn would say what platforms they are on because it will not work with the itch launcher. it is called broken skys and they just seem to think it is not a big deal. only one i know that don't work in the launcher.
